The prestigious "New Work Star 2020" award went to E-T-A Elektrotechnische Apparate GmbH in the categories "Crisis Management" and "Workspaces and Work Organization". The prize is awarded to companies that actively shape the transformation of the working world with innovative ideas and concepts and are thus role models for the working world of the future.
In the "Crisis Management" category, E-T-A was worthy of the award for several reasons, according to the jury. Even before the pandemic, flexible work arrangements were an important issue for the employees of the Altdorf-based global market leader. For example, the company was able to quickly implement the conversion of many employees to remote work outside of production. In addition, the management and the interdisciplinary Corona committee offered and continue to offer support and orientation through comprehensive and reliable information on topics such as health protection, leadership and mobile working. This ensured a high level of acceptance of the protective measures at all sites and in the various areas.
With its comprehensive organizational development program, E-T-A scored in the "Workspaces and Work Organization" category. The integration of the agile approach involves employees in key decisions. Another important aspect is the design of the work environment to make the holistic approach of the new work culture physiologically tangible.
